About Heaven's Rule Series
God set lights in the heavens for ruling, and Heaven does indeed rule. This series looks at the deeper meanings and roles of LIGHT and its affect on our world, our lives and our destinies.
The eye is the lamp of the body.
…if your eye is clear, your whole body will be full of light.
Matthew 6:22 NASB
The eye as the lamp depends on Light from an other-outside source. The eye does not produce the flame, but can only catch it by drawing close to the Source of Fire. The eye is the lamp of the body. And the lamp is lit…or it is not lit.
With God it is All or Nothing. Light or Dark. Yes or No.
There can be no mixture once we have seen. God rejects the sacrifice and Cain does not understand why. Abel, who had light on God’s wishes, was received and rewarded. Abel and Cain are light and darkness.
The verse says “the body” and even more perfectly, the “whole body” is filled with what the eye beholds. The body is the physical vessel of the Lord. He being the centrality, the obsession, and the focus, He being Light…fills all with Himself—Light. Amazing! Light which is ethereal becomes actual, and even physical!
The light of the eye’s small seeing expands to a fullness of light in total saturation. The body, being the capsule of the whole person, represents the permeation of Light into every part and corner – body, soul, spirit. All Light and no part dark.
That is possible and available. It should be the normal state of the disciple of Christ.
