Who is the King of kings? Join Martha as she discovers in the scriptures Jesus as John met Him on Patmos: King!

Article

It was the subject of John – from the beginning: “the kingdom of God is at hand.” Where John ended, Jesus took up the same sermon topic: “the kingdom of God is at hand.”

Jesus was a preacher. A preacher proclaims. A teacher explains. He was often teacher to His disciples, sometimes to the crowd. But it is said of Him, that “Jesus preached.” His subject was the gospel but not limited to the gospel. He Preached “the gospel of the kingdom,” the “good news” of the kingdom. Ever and always it is said that He proclaimed the “gospel of the kingdom.” Not just the gospel, period – that good news we have heard – but the Gospel of the Kingdom.

We know the gospel. Jesus died on the cross and paid for my sins, saved me from hell and made it possible for me to go to heaven when I die. That is the gospel. But the Gospel of the Kingdom is beyond the issue of salvation, beyond the realm of sin-covered.

The Gospel of the Kingdom is the declaration that not only have we been saved, but more…we have been given a kingdom in which to live. Paul declared also the “gospel of the kingdom” a message not limited but UNlimited, from the cross right into the scope of the entire Eternal plan of God—from the Glorious Present Dominion clear through to the Future Blazing Throne! The Kingdom of His Son.

Here is Paul’s declaration of that “gospel of the kingdom”For He delivered us from the domain of darkness and transferred us to the kingdom of His beloved Son (Col. 1:13 NASB). Most of us know what we have come OUT OF: the kingdom of darkness. But we don’t know what we have come INTO: The Kingdom of the Son of His Love (NKJV).

It’s a matter of kingdoms. All is about kingdoms. This life is a question of kingdoms. Kingdoms, Christ, and kingdoms!

  • In which kingdom do you live?
  • Do you still abide in the Dark Kingdom from which you have been delivered?
  • Do you enjoy the Kingdom of Love in which you have been placed when you were born again?

Your salvation is not merely from hell, but out of the kingdom of hell. Yet there is even more! Not only delivered from that dark kingdom but “transferred” into another Kingdom! The Kingdom of the Son. The Kingdom of God’s love…
