As we consider His names in order to know Him, we pray He will reveal His character, His ways and His outpouring to humanity. Who are you, God?
Devotional
How does our unknowable Creator become known?
Our Lord came for the ultimate purpose of revealing His Father, the God of the Universe—misunderstood, considered remote, and reduced to our idea of Him.
Jesus lived out from the Life of God. His every thought, word and deed were derived…not originated (John 5:30, 37). In His final public prayer, just moments before His arrest, Jesus’ last words were the statement of His purpose:
I have made Your Name known to them and revealed Your character and Your very Self, and I will continue to make You known…
John 17:26 AMPC
The unknowable Creator becomes known in the many names revealed in the Bible, from Genesis 1 to the end of Revelation. As we consider God’s names in order to know Him, we pray that the Holy Spirit of Christ will reveal His character, His ways, and His outpouring to humanity!
May the result be that we will stand in awe, bow in worship, and live in Love for our Perfect Father.
