About Rule and Reign Like Daniel Series
Daniel believed in God as Ruler, so he brought Heaven’s Rule into his earthly government and heathen captors. Do you rule and reign like Daniel did?
In order that the living may know that the Most High is ruler over the realm of mankind, and bestows it on whom He wishes and sets over it the lowliest of men.
Daniel 4:17b NASB
This statement straight from the counsels of God (“a command of the holy ones”) is the purpose, the meaning and the central message of the book of Daniel.
The sovereign rule of God reigns over all the governments and kingdoms because He is the Most High!
Israel believed – and all humanity really believes – that God is powerless and not in command. The chaos and wrongs that humanity chooses, and God allows as He wills, appear to negate His involvement and dominion.
Nebuchadnezzar believed he was god just because he was king. To possess power that God grants is to be deceived that we have power because we are powerful, and not because He “sets over it the lowliest of men.”
