About Rule and Reign Like Daniel Series
Daniel believed in God as Ruler, so he brought Heaven’s Rule into his earthly government and heathen captors. Do you rule and reign like Daniel did?
Your kingdom shall be confirmed to you from the time that you know that Heaven rules. Therefore, O king, let my counsel be acceptable to you: break off your sins by practicing righteousness, and your iniquities by showing mercy to the oppressed, that there may perhaps be a lengthening of your prosperity.
Daniel 4:26-27 ESV
Daniel knows that Heaven rules, even in Babylon, and so Heaven covers him. Heaven promotes him, protects him, and advises him. This man SEES God.
The other, Nebuchadnezzar, believes he is the sole power and answers to no one, not even the God he had seen at his cruel furnace. He believes he has the rule because he has the throne. This man is BLIND and though he has seen God, he doesn’t SEE that He IS God. He is blinded in his power and depraved in his arrogance.
Here stand two men: the one who is ruled, rules. The one who presumes, perishes. So it is today and always. We are deceived that we have power because we are powerful, and not because God “sets over it the lowliest of men.”
