Hebrews 12:2 ESV (emphasis mine)
Looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of faith.
Again, the true definition of a word gives us a root and a roadmap.
To ‘look’ in this Greek word means: (Strong’s #6872) To look away steadfastly or intently toward a distant object. Metaphorically, to behold in the mind, to intently regard, give attention to. (LN) To keep thinking about, without having one’s attention distracted, to fix one’s attention.
Just cultivate looking to Jesus. Understand how much of His own faith is conveyed to you, just by the exercise of that focus. The more you look away to Him, the more you see Him and gain Him. And the more you see, the more you want to ‘fix your mind’ on Jesus.
There are many “how-to’s” out there in books and talks and words and laws. Here is your simple ‘how-to’ for gaining faith.
