LET. Wielded by the Holy Spirit, this tiny word had a huge impact on Martha’s life, and the adventure can be yours, too, if you just LET God be GOD.

Hebrews 12:1b-2 NLT
…let us run with endurance the race God has set before us. We do this by keeping our eyes on Jesus…
LET the Perfecter of faith have you. LET Jesus conquer you. LET go of you.
How do you ‘let’ Jesus? This scripture and others make it simple: “Keeping our eyes on Jesus.” It is simple, but not easy. Our fleshly pride, unending fret and effort keep us from the simplicity and ease of just…‘looking away to Jesus.’ Imagine! That is our one need…
The Cross of Christ will expose our futility and kill our hope in Self.
Jesus will take care of convincing you, and even disabling you, so that you can rest on Him. ‘Let’ is utter dependence on the Blessed Savior.
Beware though – this is not passive! Surrender and looking away are hard and constant work, the one labor to make the first choice of your direction. The lazy, the selfish, the ambitious will not make it. It’s a work not public, not commended, not normal.
‘Just leave it all to God’ is not the idea. You have a part, and it is a work that God will not do for you. It is the exercise of the will. It is choice.
To look away is a very real Gethsemane and no coward will enter that struggle. It is a fight to the death. You against you. Your future against your present. Your success against your ease.
