PrintAbout Rule and Reign Like Daniel Series
Daniel believed in God as Ruler, so he brought Heaven’s Rule into his earthly government and heathen captors. Do you rule and reign like Daniel did?
Devotional
At that time my reason returned to me, and for the glory of my kingdom, my majesty and splendor returned to me.
Daniel 4:36 ESV
All for the Sake of the Kingdom
Nebuchadnezzar was radically, wonderfully changed by the humiliation of his judgment under the Most High. The transformation began with his thinking. How we think is what we see, and what we see is what we believe, true or not. The king who believed he was god suffered the insanity of that. Now that he knows who is truly God, he thinks and sees from that basic reality. His reason “returned.”
No longer is Nebuchadnezzar the center, where all is for him, from him, about him. He understands that he is restored for the sake of the kingdom, not for his own good. When God is GOD, He is the unmovable center and His purpose is the core of meaning for every person in the kingdom—and for the king as well.
Humility of brokenness means a shift from self-importance to responsibility for God’s assignment.
