LET. Wielded by the Holy Spirit, this tiny word had a huge impact on Martha’s life, and the adventure can be yours, too, if you just LET God be GOD.

2 Corinthians 3:16-17 AMPC
But whenever a person turns [in repentance] to the Lord, the veil is stripped off and taken away. Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty (emancipation from bondage, freedom).
The veil of spiritual blindness comes from two issues:
- the Law as the way to God (2 Corinthians 3:15), and
- the deception of sin (2 Corinthians 4:4).
Spiritual sight comes through repentance. The reality of sin must be seen first before there is any ability to see God! Sin produces deception but confessing sin removes the veil of spiritual blindness.
When the Holy Spirit comes and brings the light of repentance, we desperately turn to God. Then we are able to see more and more clearly the reality of what sin is but also Who God is. And we can begin to GAZE on the Son.
Repentance is the first absolute condition of being able to ‘look away to Jesus.’
