We don’t need to improve or get progressively better. There is no possibility of improving the old self. The Christian life is not about progress toward God. The only need is discovery not progression! Revelation, not effort.
And God gives rich discoveries through the pains and joys of living. Revelation is given in the practical places. Every life experience is buried treasure for a revelation of God, of yourself, and of what Jesus has given.
