LET. Wielded by the Holy Spirit, this tiny word had a huge impact on Martha’s life, and the adventure can be yours, too, if you just LET God be GOD.

John 20:29 AMPC
Jesus said to him, Because you have seen Me, Thomas, do you now believe (trust, have faith)? Blessed and happy and to be envied are those who have never seen Me and yet have believed and adhered to and trusted and relied on Me.
How blessed were those who saw Jesus in person, and even more so those who lived three glorious, shocking years with Him! Don’t we envy them?
Yet many who saw Jesus, and even witnessed His miracles, did not believe in Him. MOST people let Him pass by with no recognition of His identity. And then it was the vast majority who called for and joined in His murder.
Jesus is saying here that those who can believe while having NOT seen Him are those who are most “blessed and happy.” We are the enviable ones! It seems to imply that in our day, confident faith in Jesus’ existence and Lordship is especially precious to God.
Bless you, LeAnn, for your great question yesterday! We gaze in FAITH on One we cannot see. And you are right! Only a Shulamite (passionate follower of Christ) will pursue to see what isn’t seen…out of an ‘earnest heart.’
