About Let Series
LET. Wielded by the Holy Spirit, this tiny word had a huge impact on Martha’s life, and the adventure can be yours, too, if you just LET God be GOD.
NOTE: Once again the Holy Spirit led me to the very translation that HE wanted to use to exalt Christ. “Go to the Complete Jewish Bible.” Such is His zeal that we understand the power of Jesus to transfigure us!
2 Corinthians 3:9-10 CJB (emphasis mine)
For if there was glory in what worked to declare people guilty, how much more must the glory abound in what works to declare people innocent! In fact, by comparison with this greater glory, what was made glorious before has no glory now.
For the Corinthian Christians, Paul is showing the contrast between the Law and Jesus. The Lord’s glory is so far beyond the glow of the Law there is no comparison. Such is the greater, more powerful and magnificent glory of Christ on Whom we now gaze!
By receiving the law written on stone, Moses had witnessed the radiance of God’s holiness and it lit his face and marked him unawares (Exodus 34:29). For those who have the courage to face God unveiled, the glorious purity of Jesus marks us unawares.
And we are transfigured into His innocence.
