About Let Series
LET. Wielded by the Holy Spirit, this tiny word had a huge impact on Martha’s life, and the adventure can be yours, too, if you just LET God be GOD.
2 Corinthians 3:14 AMPC
In fact, their minds were grown hard and calloused [they have become dull and had lost the power of understanding]; for until this present day when the Old Testament (the old covenant) is being read, that same veil still lies [on their hearts], not being lifted [to reveal] that in Christ it is made void and done away.
The veil pictures the barrier to beholding the glory of Christ.
The veil is simply sin unconfessed, so unforgiven.
Israel asked Moses to put a veil over his face to hide the glory because they could not bear to see it.
The Baker Commentary: “Their (Israel’s) sin made it impossible for them to look at the glory… How could they endure the radiance that emanated from God, whose holiness tolerates no sin!”
The glory of God is transformation to one and condemnation to another.
Sin causes hardness of mind and heart and results in blindness to the wonder of God. We cannot receive the shining of God’s glory when sin is ruling.
Tomorrow…the veil taken away.
