About Let Series
LET. Wielded by the Holy Spirit, this tiny word had a huge impact on Martha’s life, and the adventure can be yours, too, if you just LET God be GOD.
Jennifer has a life verse that has become ours as well. She often refers back to it in our meetings and that passage has grabbed our hearts, too. I wanted her to share it with you as part of this series.
Joel 2:12-13 AMPC
Therefore also now, says the Lord, turn and keep on coming to Me with all your heart, with fasting, with weeping, and with mourning [until every hindrance is removed and the broken fellowship is restored].
Rend your hearts and not your garments and return to the Lord, your God, for He is gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and abounding in loving-kindness; and He revokes His sentence of evil [when His conditions are met].
“When I was born again, the first thing I did was ask the Lord for a life word that would tell me what to do and how to find Him in crisis. He gave me Joel 2:12-13 in the Amplified. And in the four years since then, that word has been relevant and anointed in every dealing, big or small, that I’ve encountered. It’s a verse of relationship, fellowship, repentance, forgiveness, cleansing, promise, encouragement, provision, separation, warfare, and who knows what else that I haven’t discovered yet.
“It’s confirmation that He heard my cry and answered with lavish abundance. Repentance is the bedrock foundation of my life with Him, and it’s the foundation of every message the Spirit gives through you, Martha. And there’s no repentance without forgiveness.”
