LET. Wielded by the Holy Spirit, this tiny word had a huge impact on Martha’s life, and the adventure can be yours, too, if you just LET God be GOD.

Luke 13:3 AMPC
I tell you, No; but unless you repent (change your mind for the better and heartily amend your ways, with abhorrence of your past sins), you will all likewise perish and be lost eternally.
Jesus repeated this same warning a second time in verse 5.
Without the Light, you will never discover or live out the marvel of your divine purpose, your great adventure, and even your love relationship with God. And two things will block the Light of your transformation, a Light freely given and fully available.
- The failure to confess to God in genuine repentance.
- The failure to forgive from your heart.
These are absolutes in scripture that cannot be waved away.
Forgive or Be Lost
I have often said to the Lord (about terrible, costly sins against me, things that would shock you if I told it), “I WILL NOT lose You over this offense. It is not worth losing YOU. I WILL forgive, I do forgive, and I will keep on forgiving if need be. But I will not lose You because of this!”
“You will all likewise perish and be lost eternally.”
The Greek word translated as ‘destroy’ has a prefix which is stronger than just destroy; it adds force to the word, so that it means ‘away or wholly, be destroyed, to perish.’ The Amplified Bible renders it correctly.
