About Law of Liberty Series

The Law of the Spirit isn't a new set of rules or method that you must perform - it's all done for you. What is this Law of Liberty all about?

2 Corinthians 3:17 NASB
Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.

The Law of the Spirit is the only law in which you don’t have to perform the rules. It is the only existing Law of Liberty! Hallelujah! The precious Holy Spirit is Himself the performance of your new life, as He IS the life of Christ. He is named the Spirit of Christ (1 Peter 1:11), and He will reveal and exalt Christ. He is the Person for your every need.

His names indicate His functions. He is the Comforter, Teacher, Counselor, Advocate…and more. He defines for you ‘sin and righteousness and judgment’ (John 16). The Holy Spirit is God’s provision, and He is so abundantly sufficient that we need only His presence, His dominion and His wisdom. We need nothing of our own strength or ideas, as He is lavishly available for every human deficit and all life needs.

I remember reading about a man who had a separate relationship with each member of the Trinity, and with each Person he was intimately involved but in recognition of the distinction of each as well as the Oneness of All. Since then I have longed and prayed to have such a revelation and intimacy with the Trinity, leaving no One out and knowing Each distinctly.

I believe grave error comes in when any Person of the Trinity is neglected or ignored. We are so blessed to have an Abba Father, a Savior Husband AND a resident Spirit. At the moment, I am emphasizing the Holy Spirit because I am focusing on the new creation and in Romans 8. But my own quest is to embrace the Trinity, and the Holy Spirit is the door in and the subject of Romans 8.
