About Let Series
LET. Wielded by the Holy Spirit, this tiny word had a huge impact on Martha’s life, and the adventure can be yours, too, if you just LET God be GOD.
God lets things be that we oppose. God lets bad things happen with seeming indifference.
Matthew 5:11-12 ESV
Blessed are you when others revile you and persecute you and utter all kinds of evil against you falsely on My account. Rejoice and be glad, for your reward is great in heaven, for so they persecuted the prophets who were before you.
God will let you be hurt, slandered, defiled – and He will appear to let it go on without any answer. And then He tells you to rejoice and be glad? That is beyond just ‘let it be!’
So we fuss and fret, fume and…doubt.
I have lived with the Lord long enough to know that He defends. Oh, how terribly He defends His servants. I suspect He waits patiently for us to LET, which is…to believe in His character and trust His love.
