We like the familiar by thinking it's 'all there is.' God is the Creator, exploding with imagination and bursting with plans, unexpected and beyond our dreams. Are we ready? Will we receive the new?

2 Corinthians 4:11 NASB
For we who live are constantly being delivered over to death for Jesus’ sake, so that the life of Jesus also may be manifested in our mortal flesh. So death works in us, but life in you.
This life of which Paul speaks is Resurrection Life. It’s a form of Life that is not natural to humanity, something we will never experience unless we learn the ways of “being delivered to death for Jesus’ sake.”
Paul’s experience of peril was an encounter with the cross. Resurrection life is manifested only where the cross is RECEIVED. To recognize and welcome the cross in every suffering is to come to “an utter self-emptying, brought to an end of everything but the Lord Himself” (T. Austin-Sparks).
To know the mighty resurrection power, Sparks says, “you must have a point of transaction with the Lord where you recognize that the Cross is in principle an utter, all-inclusive reality that sooner or later, is going to run to earth the last vestige of that self life which is the ground of Satan’s power.”
