There are two things we need to know and believe about God: His eternal power and His divine nature. Is God truly who He says He is: Sovereign Love?
Habakkuk roared his moral outrage. “Justice never prevails,” he said. “Destruction and violence are before me” (Hab. 1:3).
I AM answered quickly. But instead of pacifying the indignant man He loved, God proceeded to incite him further. He shocked Habakkuk by telling him a thing “never heard of before” (verse 5).
The savage nation out to destroy Judah had been sent deliberately by the Controlling Hand of God.
