About What’s In A Name? Series

What's in a name? Names identify, explain, and serve to distinguish one from another. What do God's names reveal to us about Him, coming from Him?

Genesis 17:5 AMPC
Nor shall your name any longer be Abram [high, exalted father]; but your name shall be Abraham [father of a multitude], for I have made you the father of many nations.

To this new Abraham, the true meaning of his life and purpose – something beyond his human scope – was revealed.

When God can finally trust you with His intention for your existence, you are never the same, ever astonished. You can only live decimated by the sheer magnitude and you cannot lift one finger or one hand to help it happen.

That word, that vision, is too impossible for any small human being.
