About What’s In A Name? Series

What's in a name? Names identify, explain, and serve to distinguish one from another. What do God's names reveal to us about Him, coming from Him?

Romans 4:19 ESV
He (Abraham) did not weaken in faith when he considered his own body, which was a good as dead (since he was about 100 years old), or when he considered the barrenness of Sarah’s womb.

It is no small matter that Abraham’s age is mentioned. Remember that “99 is the number of man’s end, the judgment of man and all his works” (Bullinger).

100 is ten times ten, the number that signifies “the perfection of Divine order.” Abraham went quickly (less than a year) to Divine order when once he came to his end and could see God by His Name!

O that Name!
