PrintAbout Rule and Reign Like Daniel Series
Daniel believed in God as Ruler, so he brought Heaven’s Rule into his earthly government and heathen captors. Do you rule and reign like Daniel did?
Devotional
Daniel saw the dream and its four empires, descending down into the cruel tyranny of Rome in Jesus’ day. The Son of God didn’t fight Rome or inspire an uprising. It seems He ignored Roman rule. In His living of life, Rome was irrelevant. Even His crucifixion came from the decree of heaven, not Rome.
Daniel saw the last government, the One that destroyed all other kingdoms: the Stone, the One who is the True Ruler, whose Dominion will end the temporary thrones and the false-god.
The end of the dream, the end of tyranny on earth, was “a stone, cut by no human hand, and it struck the image on its feet of iron and broke them in pieces. Then the iron, the clay, the bronze, the silver and the gold, all together were broken in pieces, and became like the chaff of the summer threshing floors; and the wind carried them away, so that not a trace of them could be found. But the stone that struck the image became a great mountain and filled the whole earth” (Daniel 2:34-35 ESV).
Behold I am laying in Zion a stone, a cornerstone chosen and precious and whoever believes in Him will not be put to shame.
1 Peter 2:6 ESV
