We like the familiar by thinking it's 'all there is.' God is the Creator, exploding with imagination and bursting with plans, unexpected and beyond our dreams. Are we ready? Will we receive the new?

Matthew 13:52 NASB
And Jesus said to them, “Therefore every scribe who has become a disciple of the kingdom of heaven is like a head of a household, who brings out of his treasure things new and old.”
This chapter (13) comes after a scathing rebuke of the Pharisees, and Jesus’ apparent refusal to admit his mother and brothers, choosing as His family those who did “the will of My Father.”
Then follows chapter 13, where Jesus spoke His parables about the kingdom of heaven, explaining the characteristics and laws of that kingdom, in ‘mystery form.’ He was presenting the NEW of the Kingdom in Heaven to the disciples. They were being trained to be “disciples of the kingdom of heaven”…to understand the entirely new dispensation God was establishing through Jesus.
