LET. Wielded by the Holy Spirit, this tiny word had a huge impact on Martha’s life, and the adventure can be yours, too, if you just LET God be GOD.
Devotional
From God’s Word and about His ways, ‘let’ is mysterious. A tiny word with unimaginable power of transformation. So…it is a word of crucial importance, to be seen and understood, noted and obeyed. Yet it’s an expression so easily overlooked.
In the NASB translation (which is considered the most accurate), the word ‘let’ is used 204 times in the New Testament. In the Biblical usage of this word, it means to allow something to take place without resisting or hindering it. It is a word of advice as to choice…an entreaty containing a promise.
“Allow the Spirit of God to move on you.”
Ultimately LET is this: yield and allow God to be powerful in, for and through you, and don’t have any resistance to Him. Yet the shocking thing about this word LET is that it means don’t try.
