PrintAbout The Mystery of Discipleship Series
Jesus’ closest disciples were trusted to speak for Him and tell us His story. All are called to the mystery of discipleship, but the choice is ours.

Luke 7:47-48 ESV
“Therefore I tell you, her sins, which are many, are forgiven—for she loved much. But he who is forgiven little, loves little.”
And He said to her, “Your sins are forgiven.”
Repentance is the door to the kingdom, the way of fruit, the access of divine forgiveness. And the outgrowth is love for the Forgiver.
The religious are exacting of others and blind to their own sin. The thieves and prostitutes go into the kingdom first because they know they are sinners and are closest to repentance.
The word ‘repentance’ means “to change your mind with abhorrence of your past sins.” A root of the Greek word means ‘to change your purpose.’
Repentance is SEEING from God’s perspective what you do not see from yours… It changes your thinking, and then your values. Above all, it directs you to a different goal and meaning for your life. So from the inside to the outside, your being and your course are forever changed.
True repentance is real transformation.
