Devotional
After his encounter with the Burning Bush and with Adonai, “Moses took his wife and his sons and…returned to the land of Egypt” (Exodus 4:20).
You would think that once Moses recognized Adonai – Lord and Master – that it would be a smooth journey under God’s favor. Not so.
Now it came about at the lodging place on the way that the Lord met him and sought to put him to death.

One thing was not in line with God’s will and that was circumcision. Adonai takes a violent stance to crucify arrogant flesh “on the way” to our calling.
