About Rule and Reign Like Daniel Series
Daniel believed in God as Ruler, so he brought Heaven’s Rule into his earthly government and heathen captors. Do you rule and reign like Daniel did?
…I am with you in spirit, rejoicing to see your good discipline and the stability of your faith in Christ. Therefore as you have received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him, having been firmly rooted and now being built up in Him…
Colossians 2:5-7 NASB
Stability is not in truths or people but in the Person of Christ, through a relationship with the Trinity. Daniel’s panic, despair and desperation are not revealed. But his relationship with the Most High, the wonder of God’s presence and provision—this is the focus of the Book of Daniel. His stability in God came from his very critical need for Him.
T. Austin-Sparks wrote, “The secret of Christ’s stability: His life was deeply rooted in His Father in heaven. His whole life was deeply rooted…founded and grounded in His Father in heaven.”
The Father in heaven. The place where Christ was rooted, where His foundations were, that place was altogether outside of this world. It needed to be. Only thus could there be stability.
