About Rule and Reign Like Daniel Series
Daniel believed in God as Ruler, so he brought Heaven’s Rule into his earthly government and heathen captors. Do you rule and reign like Daniel did?
When Jesus was in the wilderness for 40 days, as the fast ended he became hungry. Very hungry. On the verge of starvation. Always when we are in hunger, need, or weakness the tempter comes. The temptation he brings is ‘take care of yourself, use human power, get moving. Save yourself!’ And his real agenda is the temptation to live without faith…therefore, without God!
Jesus’ answer was the essence of survival and the only way it is possible to truly live.
But He answered, “It is written, ‘MAN SHALL NOT LIVE BY BREAD ALONE, BUT BY EVERY WORD THAT COMES FROM THE MOUTH OF GOD.’”
Matthew 4:4 (Deut. 8:3) ESV
Our hunger is on every level—mental, emotional, physical and spiritual. And our hunger is deep and gnawing, a desperate deficit that is daily, hourly. Every human hunger is fed and satisfied by what God speaks: individually, personally. Each must hear. Must hear!
Let our hunger be to hear. Let our need drive us to listen. Let our fears send us to His voice. And we will be full, satisfied, and even satiated!
