Galatians 6:14 ESV
But far be it from me to boast except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by which the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world.
When the cross becomes a lifestyle – a way of receiving God in life – it operates as a great force, a power that strikes your soul and kills what will not die. The cross is a literal blow that lays you low for three days or more and then resurrection life rises and you enter the new creation without the old one tugging at you. Whatever area was struck is unable to rise again—it is truly dead.
Not only is the old nature dead but the susceptibility to the pull of this world is crucified also: ambition, lusts, loves, greed, need for approval…
