There are two things we need to know and believe about God: His eternal power and His divine nature. Is God truly who He says He is: Sovereign Love?

Psalm 19:1-2 ESV
A Psalm of David
The heavens declare the glory of God, and the sky above proclaims His handiwork. Day to day pours out speech, and night to night reveals knowledge.
David considered the heavens and heard its message. What can we know of this God just from gazing at His world and His universe? Paul says we can know His eternal power and His nature. Sunrise, faithful in its appearance. Sunset, glorious in color. Stars in their set beauty. This does not speak of nature or the universe. It reveals who God is and what stunning and endless creation bursts forth from just His word – “Let there be light.”
David saw the order and the unimaginable vastness of the universe. And from that view, he saw that “the law of the Lord is perfect, reviving the soul.” He was struck with the overwhelming wonder of God and wrote “the fear of the Lord is clean, enduring forever.”
