About Let Series
LET. Wielded by the Holy Spirit, this tiny word had a huge impact on Martha’s life, and the adventure can be yours, too, if you just LET God be GOD.
Hebrews 12:1 AMPC
Therefore…let us strip off and throw aside…that sin which so readily (deftly and cleverly) clings to and entangles us…
What is the sin, that singular word, not plural?
The basic sin of mankind is independence of God. That means I want control in my own hands and not in God’s.
“I want Self to rule. I want the control.” Consider every sin and you will find that it is always about having or wanting control instead of God, without God.
Absolute surrender to God as God, is the giving up of control to Him. The sin to be “stripped off and thrown aside” is the dominance (even in thought) over every single thing, every person and situation and power.
Self-sufficiency has no need for faith. And therefore, has none.
