About Rule and Reign Like Daniel Series
Daniel believed in God as Ruler, so he brought Heaven’s Rule into his earthly government and heathen captors. Do you rule and reign like Daniel did?
“He will deliver us out of your hand, O king. But if not …”
Daniel 3:17-18 ESV
That magnificent “But if not!”
To die to your preference and give up your choice IS surrender to the Almighty. Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego had no choice about where to live, who was king, nor what they did with their lives. In some long and deep dealings, they had surrendered to that and helped each other to do so.
And though a man might prevail against one who is alone, two will withstand him—a threefold cord is not quickly broken.
Ecclesiastes 4:12 ESV
The only choice Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego had was whether to accept that God ultimately holds all direction. God DOES hold all the choices, but we live in easy rebellion against His choices, believing that our decision must of course be His!
To Israel who failed to surrender, the Almighty demonstrated that His choice rules.
