About Law of Liberty Series

The Law of the Spirit isn't a new set of rules or method that you must perform - it's all done for you. What is this Law of Liberty all about?

The way into the realm of the Spirit is SURRENDER.

You cannot USE or master the Spirit, though many try and end in delusive “experience” – not of the Spirit. You allow yourself to be mastered by, controlled by, possessed by the Spirit, and you do this by SURRENDER.

Surrender is “to yield to the power or possession of another; to give oneself up into the power of another, especially as a prisoner.”

This is why Paul could call himself a prisoner of the Lord. He was not referring to his chains. He was referring to the absolute giving of himself unto and under the Spirit’s dominion.

Paul was never a prisoner of Rome, even though he spent years as her captive. He had surrendered to be the prisoner of the Lord by giving complete rulership to the Holy Spirit. And the Holy Spirit was his Living secret, the constant source of his endurance, brilliance, and joy.
