About Lost Way Series
We search for what we do not know, driven by what we cannot recognize. What is life about? There is a way, the lost way, with answers for us all.
Everything we do, we do for love. All that we are is because of what we love. The whole of life is the sifting of loves, the exposure of loves.
Reading Mark 10:17-31 ESV
(v. 23) And Jesus looked around and said to His disciples, “How difficult it will be for those who have wealth to enter the kingdom of God!”
The exposure of the rich young ruler was his love of money. He wanted God, “to inherit eternal life.” He sought God by coming to Jesus with a sincere question. But the demand of God exposed his love. You will preserve what you love; you will follow what you love.
“The love of money is a root of all kinds of evils” (1 Tim. 6:10). The love of money is not the love of money. Its real core is the love of self. It makes no difference how much or how little money, the LOVE of money is really the preservation of selfishness. Money is a commodity for practical life and for the kingdom. It is not security or hope.
