PrintAbout Rule and Reign Like Daniel Series
Daniel believed in God as Ruler, so he brought Heaven’s Rule into his earthly government and heathen captors. Do you rule and reign like Daniel did?
Devotional
…our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and He will deliver us out of your hand, O king. But if not, be it known to you, O king, that we will not serve your gods or worship the golden image…
Daniel 3:17-18 ESV
Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego had absolutely no power before the evil king. The only power they could have used to save themselves was to reject their One God. And they would NOT use the one power they had to save themselves.
The greatest test of faith is to be rendered powerless before a dominating evil, when it seems the only way of survival is to capitulate to evil’s demands.
All of life – in a genuine walk with God – is a contest of power.
But that contest of power is not ultimately between good and evil. Actually, every trouble is really just one conflict, just one question, and will demand one answer: Who is God?!
And it isn’t whether Satan is god or God is God. The trial asks the question:
Are YOU god by your striving, hiding and controlling? Or…is the Most High the ONLY God?
