About The Power of Obedience Series
Obedience is not just a reflexive performance of God’s will. It is richer than we know, and its power is known by too few. Would you be one of them?
Abraham refused to take the rich spoil of war with heathen kings. Why? Not because it was wrong but because he’d made a promise: “I have lift up mine hand unto the Lord, the most High God, the possessor of heaven and earth, that I shall not take from a thread even to a shoelachet, and I will not take any thing that is thine, lest thou shouldest say, I have made Abram rich” (Genesis 14:22-23 KJV).
Abraham freely chose to make God His only riches, and take from Him his only supply. He solved greed by wanting God more than man’s wealth.
