About The Mystery of Discipleship Series
Jesus’ closest disciples were trusted to speak for Him and tell us His story. All are called to the mystery of discipleship, but the choice is ours.
The Pharisees did not recognize Jesus because they:
- “loved to pray…to be seen by men” (Matthew 6:5).
- “loved the most important seats…” (Luke 11:43).
The Pharisees loved. They did! They just loved SELF. What you love becomes your master.
Money “feels” like blessing and security. Money can feed the love of SELF—two masters (Matthew 6:24).
Anyone who loves his father or mother…son or daughter more than Me is not worthy of Me.
Matthew 10:37 NIV
Amazingly, in our sinful nature, we love the darkness which hides us from ourselves – “men loved the darkness…” (John 3:19).
We all love. We all follow love. We will even die for what we love. The question Life asks is: Who do you love? Whose love do you love?
